Dogs Named Bridget

Of course I was under the impression this name was from British origin, but I think this name is very subtle, simple and classy. I named my gorgeous black female schnauzer Bridget. It suits her perfectly

I think tis name is very complex and beautiful. BUt I think that it is more a human name than dog. My dog is named Bridgette but I believe I should change it since she is being adopted.

True, Bridget is traditionally a human name but I never felt comfortable with traditional pet names like fluffy and spot. I feel I can train my dog more efficiently if she has a normal name by my standards so when I give her commands I'm not saying "Fifi sit," you know what I mean?

Bridget

I agree with you both. My name is Bridget, and yes, I believe that it is supposed to be a human name, but I would rather not have a name like Fluffy, or Cutie Pie. I never liked it. My dog is named Nina, and I think it suits her perfectly.
